How are you doing? The weather in Kyoto is so hot and humid now.... I am so glad that I have an air-conditioning in my room, otherwise I am almost melting down like an ice cream...

A couple of days ago we received new Zabuton (Japanese style cushion) for our latest facility, Kohakuan. They are all hand-made by craftsmen based in Kyoto and there is a logo of  Kohakuan on them too. It is so nice and conformable! 

At Machiya Residence Inn, many of our furniture or amenities are made locally. We have our  Zabutons, dining table, chairs, beds, blankets and futons all made in Kyoto.  We even purchase our green tea from a tea store nearby and coffee from a long-established coffee company based in Kyoto,  opening you to experience the goodness of "real" Kyoto!
