Summer is over!?

It is said that this summer has been one of the hottest summers in recent years.

Today it was also very hot during the day and I guess I bought 4 bottles of cold water from the beverage vending machine.... I contributed a lot to those vending machine companies today. I guest everyone did too.. It was 31 degrees....

It is almost 21:00 and the temperature has dropped to 20 degrees. It is nice and comfortable at night time. Maybe it is a sign of fall !!? What`s the weather like tomorrow ? Oh, it is 31 degrees again....

For those of you who are planning to visit Kyoto in October,  make sure you take some light jumper / sweater with you for night time.

There are two recommended spots to visit when you go there.

1. Go to Togetsukyo "Moon Crossing Bridge" that lays across the Katsura river. This is one of the best photo taken spots in Kyoto.

Fushimi-Inai Taisha is another must-go place when you visit Kyoto.
It is the head shrine of Inari, which is said to have as many as 30,000 sub-shrines throughout Japan during its 1300 years of presence.

The shrine sits at the base of Inari Mountain, and thousands of vermilion torii gates line up on the 4km of track leading to the shrine.

To get there from Kohakuan take the Keihan line and get off at Fushimi-inari Station. It only takes 4 mins from our nearest train station.

Gion is one of the most popular tourist spots in Kyoto and if you ever go there do not forget to visit "Gion Corner". This is where you get to see a digest of 7 traditional performing arts all on one stage. This includes tea ceremony, koto music, flower arrangement, gagaku, kyogen, kyomai and bunraku.
