Rates will vary depending on season, date, and number of guests. Children 5 years of age and under, who do not require bedding, do not need to be included within the total number of adults (may stay free of charge).
If a child will require a separate bedding, they will be considered as one (1) additional adult guest. In this case, please include the child in the total number of ‘adults per room’ when making your reservation (they will be charged as an adult).

Dark, wooden accents, rich colors and textures, and plenty of natural light make up the undeniably elegant atmosphere of this traditional house. The high-ceilings are designed with bamboo reed, while doors feature the quintessential latticework to permeate the space with light.

This machiya house retains its original architectural structure to cater to groups of smaller groups of family and friends. Although compact in size, its modern facilities and enviable location provide no shortage of reasons to stay!

Local Information

Local Information

Surrounded by UNESCO recognized temples, and a 7-minute walk to Gojo Subway Station, 1 stop from Kyoto Station
Nestled between two grand, and important temples of Kyoto: Higashi Honganji Temple & Nishi Honganji Temple. One is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while the other is considered to be not only the largest wooden structure in Kyoto, but in the world.

Jump on the subway to travel north towards the Imperial Gardens, or head south to the lesser known Kyoto sake brewing districts of Fushimi. You’ll also find plenty of bus stops that will take you to the Higashiyama area of Kyoto, and the bamboo forests of Arashiyama. Nishiki Market is a popular sightseeing attraction, but we also recommend the always bustling Kyoto Chuo Oroshi Ichiba (fish auction & markets).
