‘Kougetsu’ machiya house: a traditional Kyoto holiday house (vacation rental) conveniently located a short walk from the central entrance of Kyoto Station. You’ll have great access to many of Kyoto’s most famous sightseeing attractions, such as Kiyomizu Temple, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Nishiki Market, and the Gion neighborhood, in addition to locally loved restaurants and cafes.
This is a spacious 91.31 ㎡ (982.8 ft²) renovated Japanese machiya house that is great for groups of family & friends, or special trips. The interior features soft gold details throughout - inspired by the radiant moonlight, which Kougetsu is named after. Slide open the lattice ‘koshi’ doors to an open kitchen, which is fitted with a large refrigerator, wine cellar, IH stove top, and more. The living room features not only a comfortable sofa & cinema-like projector, but a traditional tatami space with a view of the tsuboniwa garden. The bathroom features a waterfall shower head and luxurious freestanding bathtub. Upstairs you’ll find a western-style bedroom & classic tatami-lined Japanese room, desk area, and additional washroom.
