A playful machiya that utilizes a variety of different wood native to Japan, each area of the house exquisitely melds together elements of rich, dark brown wood to the lighter and softer impression of the Japanese Cypress wood. This particular characteristic helps transform the minimalistic design of the traditional machiya townhouse to bring a sense of warmth and relaxation.

With the grand view of the historical Nijo Castle just a couple of blocks away, take a leisurely stroll from this popular World Heritage Site to find yourself in front of this quaint little machiya house.
